| Oral Communication I 〔授業の目標〕 Oral Communication is an English language course designed to improve English communication skills. オーラルコミュニケーションは、英語コミュニケーションスキルを向上させるための英語コースです。(2.3.4回生対象） By the end of the first term, students will be able to: Introduce themselves and others clearly Ask and answer simple interview questions Talk about daily life, routines, preferences, and experiences Participate actively in pair and group speaking activities Speak for short periods with improved confidence and clarity 〔授業の概要〕 Oral Communication I (First Term) helps students learn basic speaking skills for everyday English communication. Through warm-up activities, interview-style pair work, interactive games, and regular speaking recordings, students build confidence and improve their speaking ability. The course focuses on frequent speaking practice and fun communication games to create a relaxed and comfortable learning environment. オーラル・コミュニケーション I（前期）では、日常的な英語コミュニケーションに必要な基本的なスピーキング力を身につけます。ウォームアップ活動、インタビュー形式のペアワーク、参加型のゲーム、定期的なスピーキングテストを通して、学生は自信を持って英語を話す力を高めていきます。本授業では、繰り返しの発話練習や楽しいコミュニケーション活動を重視し、リラックスして学べる環境を目指します。 〔授業計画〕 Weekly Course Outline Lesson 1 – Course Introduction & Classroom Communication Course overview and grading explanation Greetings and simple self-introductions Icebreaker activities Lessons 2–7 – Regular Communication Lessons Greetings, numbers, and personal information Family, friends, and hometowns Likes, dislikes, and simple opinions Food preferences and eating habits Describing past experiences (basic) Lesson 8 – Midterm Speaking Test Short interview with familiar questions Paired speaking task Assessment of participation, clarity, and effort Lessons 9–14 – Regular Communication Lessons Shopping and daily situations Health, habits, and lifestyle Opinions and comparisons Future plans Simple role-plays (shops, cafes, daily problems) Lessons 15–16 – Final Speaking Tests Individual or paired speaking assessments Interview-style questions Situational role-play 〔使用教材〕 使用しない 〔成績評価の方法・基準〕 Assessment & Grading Final Speaking Test: 50% Class Participation: 25% (attendance, effort, and participation in speaking activities) Quizzes & Homework: 25% (recordings, worksheets, short quizzes) Class Policy Active participation is required English should be used during speaking activities Respect classmates and support a positive learning environment |
